In this week's episode of DCDI, Bri chats with dope individual, Danyale Sturdivant, MSSW, LCSW. Danyale is a graduate of Russell Sage College and Columbia University’s School of Social Work. She holds a masters degree in clinical social work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina. Ms. Sturdivant has worked as a social worker for over 20 years in various settings. She is also the mother of a 12-year-old son who is on the Autism spectrum. After facing challenges finding appropriate providers to meet the needs of her family, she founded Living Autism Out Loud (LAOL). Living Autism Out Loud, LLC (LAOL) was founded with the goal of decreasing and eventually eliminating cultural barriers that Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) parents face when accessing services and supports for their children with Autism and/or Intellectual Developmental Disabilities.
